The Surrounding Area: Hop in the car and head 6 minutes to the heart of Benissa. One of the oldest towns on the Costa Blanca, this historic enclave has retained much of its medieval character with wrought iron balconies and heraldic shields lining pretty cobbled streets.

Less than a 20-minute drive away, Moraira offers a sedate and unspoilt coastal retreat with rocky bays and sandy beaches backed by lush hillsides. Fabulous restaurants, quiet cafes, bars, shops and markets make it easy to fill a day in this vibrant little town.

If you’re bringing the kids, treat them to a day out at a local theme park. Hurtle down heart-thumping roller coasters at the sprawling theme park of Terra Mitica, or tear down epic water rides at Aqualandia – one of the biggest water parks in Europe. Both parks are within a 35-minute drive.
